DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings accomplished their No. Yeezy Boost 380 Italia . 1 goal of the off-season Tuesday by agreeing to a $22.5 million, three-year deal with Pavel Datsyuk. "Its a great day for the Red Wings," general manager Ken Holland said in a telephone interview. "Hes is a world-class player and there are no moves I can make to find players like Pavel Datsyuk." Datsyuk and the Red Wings reached the deal two days before his 35th birthday, keeping the Russian superstar with the franchise through the 2016-17 season. He cant sign the contract until July 5 because he was entering the last year of his current deal. Soon after the season ended with a Game 7 loss in the second round at Chicago, Datsyuk said he wanted to stay with the Red Wings instead of returning home to play in Russia following the 2013-14 season. Holland was relieved the two sides agreed to terms before Pavel went back home. "If we wouldve gone all summer without a deal, you never know what couldve happened," Holland said. "Thats his home country and they have a pro league that pays well, but Pav loves it in Detroit." Holland acknowledged he wont be able to keep all of the teams key players from last season, including free agents Daniel Cleary, Damien Brunner and Valtteri Filppula. "We have an interest in all three, but they may have better opportunities elsewhere," Holland said. "Not all of our free agents are going to be back because have decisions to make, just like everybody else in the (salary) cap world." Datsyuk led Detroit with 15 goals and 49 points in the 48-game, lockout-shortened season. The centre was tied for third on the team with nine points in the post-season, which ended in the second round against Chicago. He helped the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup in 2002 as a rookie and again in 2008. Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Niklas Kronwall led the team during a rebuilding season well enough that the franchise extended its post-season streak to 22, eliminated the second-seeded Anaheim Ducks and led the top-seeded Blackhawks 3-1 before losing the series. "We feel we have a tremendous leadership group moving forward in Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Kronwall," Holland said. Detroit drafted Datsyuk in the sixth round, 171st overall, in 1998 and he made his NHL debut during the 2001-02 season and showed right away he was a steal. As one of the games all-time great defensive forwards, Datsyuk has won the Selke Trophy three times. The 5-foot-11, 194-pound Datsyuk took the puck away from an opponent 56 times this season, tying for the league lead. And as one of the gentlemen of the physical sport, he has won the Lady Byng Trophy four times. Few have been better at dangling a puck or snatching one away, a skill Datsyuk has said he learned as a kid. "In Russia, we had tough times. Only one puck," he said. "I always wanted the puck, so I learn how to keep it and make space and get puck when other guy has it." The four-time All-Star and 2009 MVP finalist has 255 goals and 767 points during a career in which he has led a talented team in scoring six times. Datsyuk is sixth on the franchises all-time scoring list, trailing Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, Alex Delvecchio, Nicklas Lidstrom and Sergei Fedorov. Lidstroms jersey will head to the storied rafters of Joe Louis Arena next season and Datsyuks will, too, after he hangs up his skates. Holland is thrilled that wont be any time real soon. "This deal ensures that Pavel will be in Detroit for the next four years," he said. "His accomplishments over the past 11 seasons demonstrate what a truly dynamic player he is. His work ethic is second to none." Air Max 95 Saldi . LOUIS -- The New Orleans Saints looked like a team playing out the string. Outlet Scacrpe Italia . Its the second straight game Bell has scored in extra time for Kelowna, which beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-5 on Friday, and he now has four game-winning goals on the season. Brendon de Jonge of Zimbabwe withdrew from the Summer Olympics on Tuesday because he didnt want to miss two tournaments in his bid to keep his PGA Tour card.De Jonge is the 12th player to pull out of the Rio de Janeiro Games, where golf will make its return after a 112-year absence. He is the first player to specifically cite the PGA schedule as it relates to keeping his full playing privileges for next year. De Jonge has missed the cut 15 times in 19 starts this year, plunging to No. 160 in the FedEx Cup standings.Only the top 125 golfers get into the FedEx Cup playoffs and keep their full cards for the next season. Because The Greenbrier Classic was canceled due to flooding, and also because de Jonge is not in the final major of the year, he has only five events left to improve his ranking. He said to compete in Rio would have meant missing the Travelers Championship, which ends the day after opening ceremonies, and the John Deere Classic. It also would have meant flying from Rio to North Carolina to prepare for the final event in the regular season.De Jonge has finished among the top 100 in each of the past six years. The reason for my decision is not my concern about the Zika virus, he said in a statement. It is truly a business decision. It would have been a great honor to play for my country. I am truly disappointed, but my current position on the FedEx Cup points list does noot allow me the luxury to skip the John Deere Classic or the Travelers Championship. Air Max 97 Uomo Outlet. This has to be a priority for me and my family.Seven of the other 12 players who have pulled out specifically cited Zika, including world No. 1 Jason Day and world No. 4 Rory McIlroy.De Jonges decision means that Zimbabwe is not likely to have a golfer in the Olympics. The countrys only hope to be represented in Rio is Scott Vincent, who would have to win this week on the Mackenzie Tour in Canada to move into the top 60 in the Olympic ranking and qualify for the games.Otherwise, Zimbabwe would join Fiji (Vijay Singh) in losing a spot because of a withdrawal. With de Jonge pulling out, Lin Wen-Tang would qualify and give Taiwan two spots in the 60-man field.Golf organizers, particularly the PGA Tour, had seven years to decide how to cope with the Olympic competition on a worldwide schedule. It already has crammed in three major championships over a seven-week stretch. Two of the final three events in the regular season, key for players to get into the top 125, conflict with the Olympics.Camilo Villegas of Colombia, while mentioning the Zika virus, also said his participation in the Summer Olympics could depend on his status in the FedEx Cup. He is at No. 141. ' ' '
